Hello, my name is Roger Freites, I am a student at the University of Florida majoring in Business Administration with an interest in Finance. I am originally from Caracas, Venezuela, and lived there until I was 14. My passion for business exponentially grew as I moved to the US, as I was exposed to new clubs and organizations that allowed me to gain knowledge and experience in the business world. This allowed me to create my own business last summer, called Sybarite LLC, which focused on buying and selling crashed vehicles. This experience allowed me to develop my passion for business and finance which is now translated here at UF. Additionally, during my time in college, I was a non-profit consultant extern with Paragon One and PWC, and a Strategic Operations Analyst at Uber, where I worked on a team developing strategies to enhance Uber's new products. Lastly, some of my involvement in school are DSP, a business fraternity that helps its members develop professionally, and the UF soccer team.
